Garreth began his coaching career at Liverpool FC going through a trial over 26 weeks to become a football & Language coach. Following his huge success during this period Garreth was employed to work with; Development centre’s, shadow squads, pre-academy squads U5 – U8’s and eventually progressed to the Foundation Phase as the U-9’s coach.
During his time at Liverpool, Garreth had opportunities to assist with coaching sessions of older age groups including U15’s.
After many great seasons at LFC, learning from Dutch and Spanish technical directors, Garreth took up a role as with Blackburn Rovers FC as U13’s lead coach after 2 seasons he was then promoted to u15’s lead coach. During his time at Blackburn Rovers each squad progressed to compete at the premier league international tournaments, more importantly he helped build a culture of learning and self-development within groups which have recently seen players go on to represent their countries such as England, Ireland, and Wales at underage levels, he also worked with players who made 1st team debuts during the season 2018/19.
Garreth has also worked within the school structure for over four years; delivering the national curriculum for P.E, designing schemes of work and evaluating both lessons and children’s ability. Not only does Garreth have a vast amount of experience within sport and school, he has collected an enormous amount of qualifications along the way:
